HULL FREEMASONS AT THE CHAMBER EXPO

HULL FREEMASONS AT THE CHAMBER EXPO

HULL AT THE CHAMBER EXPO
By Peter Spencer, De La Pole Lodge.

Hull-ExpoOver 1000 businessmen and women visited the Hull & Humber Chamber Expo held at the Airco Arena, Walton Street on the 2nd and 3rd of June.

14 Brethren represented Freemasons of Yorkshire North and East Ridings from 8 different Hull lodges and manned the stand during the two days. We were also pleased that our Provincial Grand Master, Jeffery Gillyon attended the second day and was able to speak to very many men and women who visited our stand. Our brethren also took part in the Speed Networking events in which they were able to convey the message of and also tried to dispel any myths that existed.

The message of Freemasonry and ” What is it all about ” was conveyed to those visiting the stand via Displays, A Rolling PowerPoint Presentation and various leaflets. We were extremely pleased at the interest that was shown by very many men and women who visited the stand.
There were also some enquiries on joining freemasonry.

TeddyTLC Teddy Bear also created further interest and was raffled in a Business card draw which was subsequently won by Adrienne Hodgeson who represented St. Andrews Hospice in Grimsby. Peter Spencer, of De La Pole Lodge made the presentation to Adrienne who will be auctioning the teddy further to raise funds for the hospice.
