CHESHIRE Freemasons have presented a gift of £10,000 to Halton Haven Hospice. The money will be used to buy a double bed so that married couples can spend precious time together. Shaun Pollard, chief executive officer at the hospice, said: “This fantastic donation from the Freemasons will finally enable us to get something we have wanted for years but have never been able to afford. “This is a specialist, extra large bed which gives all of the support a patient needs but also allows them to spend precious hours, privately and as close to their partner as they have always been at home. “This will make a huge difference to our patients and their loved ones. “I can’t thank the Freemasons enough.” Share article The province of Cheshire Freemasons has 5,000 members.
